The key ingredients we utilize in crafting our slimes are Polyvinyl Acetate (PVA) and a safe amount of borax. Our slimes may also incorporate the following components: Colorant for vibrant hues, Fragrance Oil, Glycerin to maintain moisture, Alumina Silicate for added durability, as well as Non-Toxic Craft Materials. Rest assured, our commitment to safety ensures that all ingredients are non-toxic and suitable for use.

Slimes are NOT edible and are for playing purposes only. Our slimes are designed with various embellishments such as glitter, charms, and add-ons, solely for aesthetic and sensory enjoyment. Consuming slimes can pose a choking hazard and potentially lead to illness.

With proper care, slimes can maintain their quality for several months. However, it is normal for slimes to gradually deflate or experience melting over time due to the characteristics of their ingredients and the climate in your region. To ensure the longevity of your slime and keep it fresh, follow these steps:

  1. Prior to handling the slime, always wash your hands thoroughly to prevent any external debris or bacteria from entering the slime.
  2. Play with your slime on a clean surface, preferably a glass one, as slime does not adhere to glass, reducing the chances of contamination.
  3. When you're not playing with your slime, store it in an airtight container in a cool and dry environment.
  4. If you notice your slime becoming sticky or melting, you can easily revive it by using the slime activator we included in your order. Follow the instructions provided in the included slime care guide to reactivate your slime and restore its original texture.

By following these guidelines, you can enjoy your slime for an extended period and maintain its optimal condition.

We advise against the use of slime for individuals with eczema or sensitive skin, as well as those who may have known allergies to any of the listed ingredients. Slime is specifically recommended for individuals aged 8 years and older.

Slime is an incredibly enjoyable and therapeutic toy that provides hours of entertainment. It is highly recommended for individuals aged 8 and above, as they can fully appreciate its unique sensory properties. However, it is crucial to exercise caution and keep slime out of reach from children under 3 years old. This precaution is essential due to the potential risks of choking or accidental ingestion associated with slime. 

Kindly note that the processing and shipping of your order may take between 2 to 4 full business days. Please keep in mind that weekends and major holidays are not considered business days, and the estimated shipping time is not included in this timeframe.

Please note that the transit times provided below are estimations. Please be aware that delays in transit may occur due to factors such as postal operation errors, adverse weather conditions, weekends, and holidays. It is important to understand that the selected shipping method pertains solely to the shipping time and does not encompass our processing time, which typically ranges from 2 to 4 business days.

US and Canada: 1-2 weeks

International: 2 weeks - a month

 

Please email us at help@tanookislimes.com with a full picture of the damaged item or package and we will work to provide a solution for you typically within 3-4 days. In most cases, we will provide you with a full refund or store credit for the damaged item. If a replacement is available, we will ship out a replacement for the damaged item. Claims for damaged or missing items must be reported immediately or within three days of your receipt of your order. The time frame is made to ensure a solid proof is shown.

In the event that your tracking information indicates delivery of your package but you are unable to locate it, it is possible that the carrier has placed it in a secure location for your convenience. We recommend checking your mailbox, porch, garage, and also reaching out to your neighbors as it may have been delivered to them by mistake. Occasionally, packages may be scanned as 'delivered' prematurely. If more than 1-2 days have passed since the status was updated to 'delivered', we suggest filing a claim directly with Canada Post. Regrettably, we are unable to provide refunds or replacements for packages marked as "delivered".

When you select a shipping option that includes a tracking number, rest assured that we will promptly send the tracking details to the email or phone number you have provided. This information will be delivered as soon as your order has been shipped, allowing you to stay updated on its progress.

The customer bears the responsibility for providing and verifying the correct address during checkout. We cannot be held liable for orders shipped to an incorrect address entered by the customer. If you require an urgent address change, please email admin@tanookislimes.com no later than the day following your order placement. Include your order number and full name when requesting an address change. Please note that address changes are not guaranteed after this deadline.

We now offer international shipping to the majority of countries. Delivery timeframes and shipping costs will be calculated at the checkout prior to payment. Please note that in some cases, slimes may take up to a month to arrive due to customs or tax processing. It is your responsibility to cover any potential customs or duties fees imposed by your country for international shipments. Shipping and customs/duties fees cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

The primary cause for packages being returned to us is typically invalid addresses. If your order is returned to us due to an address issue, please get in touch with us at admin@tanookislimes.com. We will promptly provide you with a store credit for the total amount of the order. It's important to note that we are unable to resend any returned packages for sanitary reasons.

Due to the production of slime, we do not allow any cancellations. All sales are final so please be sure of your purchase before placing your order.

 

To ensure the health and safety of our customers, we have implemented a strict policy regarding the return or exchange of slime products. Please note that due to the nature of slime as a sensory toy, we are unable to accept any returns or exchanges for health and sanitary reasons. 

To maximize the lifespan of your slime, follow these care instructions:

  1. Before playing with slime, ensure that you wash your hands thoroughly and dry them properly. This helps prevent any dirt or contaminants from transferring onto the slime.

  2. Choose a clean, non-porous surface to play with your slime. This will minimize the chances of dirt and bacteria getting mixed into the slime. Opting for a glass surface is recommended since the slime is less likely to stick to it.

  3. When you're not actively playing with the slime, store it in the airtight container provided. Make sure the container is sealed tightly to prevent air exposure, which can accelerate the melting or deflation process. If you have any excess slime that doesn't fit in the original container, place it in a Ziploc bag to maintain its freshness.

By following these steps, you can extend the lifespan of your slime for several months.

Slimes can occasionally become rigid due to various factors, with over-activation and climate being the most common culprits. During colder months, it's not uncommon for slime to harden or stiffen due to the inherent properties of its ingredients. Fortunately, there are several methods to remedy this situation:

Opaque slimes: To restore a soft and pliable consistency, gradually incorporate small amounts of lotion or sanitizer into the slime while kneading it. Continue this process until you achieve the desired texture, as these additions aid in softening the slime.

Clear slimes: If you're dealing with a clear slime, the best approach is to place it in an airtight container and allow it to rest in a warm location for a few days. This gives the slime time to thaw and regain its supple nature. It's important to note that adding lotion to clear glue-based slimes is not recommended, as it can cause cloudiness or a foggy appearance.

Slimes may develop stickiness, particularly during hotter months, due to the characteristics of their ingredients or if they have been left undisturbed for extended periods. Although these circumstances are inevitable, there are several methods to remedy the situation. Gradually incorporate small amounts of your preferrable slime activator into the slime while kneading it until you achieve the desired consistency. Exercise caution not to add excessive activator, as it may cause the slime to become overly stiff. To comply with Canadian Government Toy safety requirements, we so not include any borax powder like other shops do but these are some safe alternatives you can use to activate your slime: boron-free saline solution or baking soda with vinegar.

For optimal results in eliminating slime stains, a highly effective method involves creating a mixture using equal parts of white vinegar and cold water. Prior to application on delicate fabrics or surfaces, it is advisable to conduct a spot test to ensure compatibility.

To begin the stain removal process, generously spray the vinegar and water mixture directly onto the slime stain. Employ a soft brush or sponge to gently agitate the slime, aiding in its loosening from the carpet or fabric fibers. Following this, utilize a dry paper towel or cloth to carefully blot and lift away the slime residue.

Should any remnants of the slime stain persist, repeat the aforementioned steps until the carpet or fabric is entirely free from slime and restored to its original condition.
